I stay because I have hope.

20130929-160459.jpgI hope that his health will stabilize.
I hope that I will regain my ability to let things roll off my back.
I hope that the VA will do a better job than they have in the past so that I do not have to fight for decent care for my husband all of the time.
I hope for low stress days and high quality doctors.
I hope that during the good days my husband can recall the reasons why we fell in love in the first place.
I hope that love is enough.
I hope that God hears our prayers.
I hope that my husband gets his spark for life back.
I hope that once the house is modified our stress will be lower and therefore our relationship will be in a better place.
I hope that I am the reason for his occasional smiles.
I hope that he knows that I am in this for the long haul so he can finally stop being so guarded.
I hope that he knows how much he means to me and how much I love him.
